The question is, when people are traveling and want their commitment to the green thing to hold. Rental car companies are the persons who are these vehicles. . . or they are?

I decided (for the traveler Australia), the major car companies that you’re getting “can green cars” with. Working Holidays Driveaway for here in Australia, the most common request is for diesel vehicles. This is driven for cost reasons and even the occasional environmental concern. (Should not the other way around?)

First, the ranking once Avis rental car.

In Australia, the group will give you an L car Toyota hybrid. This car is the favorite for the car rental because of that built by Toyota.

UK, it seems not everyone green cars, diesel car although it can on the fleet, Avis, you simply do not find it.

In the U.S., like Australia, the Toyota hybrid in XG-Group is available.

In Australia, such as Avis, is the Toyota hybrid car of choice. Book a group G and you will get this car.

Britain has, Hertz, a number of fuel-efficient diesel engines on the fleet, but no hybrids. This seems to be a common factor in the UK. As an expat, I know that Toyota, the car prices in the United Kingdom adequately expensive compared to other European manufactured vehicles

In the U.S. Hertz has a range of hybrids, although based on some of the cars, I could ‘t say whether they were hybrids or not.

. Avis does not seem in any way their green cars market, which is a shame.

Again, in contrast to Hertz, they seem not to promote its green fleet. With respect to its Fleet Guide Australia, they have the regular passenger vehicles, such as Small, Medium, Large, Prestige, Minivans, Sport, 4WD. Europcar list the green car as part of the fleet, there were regular, but it has unique identifier (IHAR) in Australia.

Britain has, Europcar obviously do not have green offerings. Maybe it’s something you can pick up on request. Personally, I could be a green book with the car over the Internet, I would do so with a company that offered this service.

In the U.S., I chose LAX Europcar have a limited presence. There were no cars looked, I find that green could be.

to Europcar defense, in other parts of Europe where they are particularly strong, is able to guarantee a diesel for a couple of extra euros per day.
In this brief look
Hertz appears the only car owner that actively promote “green” cars. Avis & Europcar seem to be a little Hap Hazard in their approach to a green fleet. While it may be a case of logistics and supply problem, there is no reason why they could not promote their green cars.
I am sure that in 12 months, the situation is that every car owner be actively marketing green cars. The consumer can now offset their CO2 emissions in the different transport sectors and I am sure the car rental industry will follow suit in the near future.

The environment is a dream, marketer and I think that some car rental companies have missed the boat so far. Hopefully their marketing departments will wake up and smell the clean air. .
